My name is Moose and I think I'm kind of old!   I was part of a feral colony being fed by some really nice teachers at the school where I was living.   During my neuter surgery, they discovered I had some really badly rotted teeth and had to pull them, including my fangs.   Normally, I would have been returned to the colony, but because of my age, Tender Heart Haven took me in.   Well, it turns out I'm not completely feral, just a little bit, it was mostly an act to stay alive and keep from getting beat up.

My name is Buster and I think I am 4 or 5 years old.   I was living in the wild on the hillside of a nursery and I was so sneaky that they never even knew I was there.   Then they lost their lease so a developer could build a big old building on the property.   When the kind people at Tender Heart Haven trapped me to have me altered, they knew I couldn't go back there because it wasn't safe.  
After a lot kindness and love, I'm actually letting them pet me now, but I'm still quite nervous about it and not completely trusting.

My name is Buddy.   I was dropped off at the veterinary clinic by someone who told them I was a stray.   I was not adoptable because I have an aggression problem.   When I first came to Tender Heart Haven I was a bully and picked on everyone.   Then they got some medication for me and it's really helped a lot.   I'm slowly learning how to play with my friends in a nicer way, its just taking time.   I will probably always play a little rough, but I really don't mean to, there is just something in me that makes me do it!

My name is Sassy.   Several years ago I was left at a local pet store by a man who told them I had been living in a warehouse.   Because I was very mean and tried to bite and scratch everyone, they were going to have to send me to the shelter.   That's when Tender Heart Haven took me in.   They understood that I was very scared and probably had been mistreated.   After months of gentle words and a lot of patience, I've come to trust them and even let them pet me and scratch my head.   I'm not so afraid anymore!

My name is Elvis.   I've had a lot of problems in my young life.   I came from a feral momma cat and I'm a little bit feral myself.   I have a neurological problem that causes me to shake a lot, although as I'm aging it seems to be getting better.   I am also blind, which doesn't really stop me at all.   I play and do all the same things my friends do.   I also have a bad gum disease, which can be very painful sometimes.   Tender Heart Haven keeps me on medication and I see the veterinarian regularly to help keep it under control.
